The G80 M3, G82 M4 and G83 M4 Convertible share a front end and a lower rear bumper, so every carbon grille, lip, diffuser and canard we list for one fits all three. The side skirts are the exception: the sedan and coupe sills differ in length, so most skirt listings ask you to pick. Below is every G8X carbon part in the catalogue, grouped by area, with three complete builds priced out.

Which cars these G80 carbon parts fit

G80 is the M3 sedan, G82 the M4 coupe and G83 the M4 Convertible, together written as G8X. Every listing in this post names all three cars; the full range is under everything we list for the G80.

The sills are where they part ways. The M3 and M4 have different sill lengths, so the MP, V-ST and MHC skirts are sold with an M3 Sedan (G80) option and an M4 Coupe / Convertible (G82 / G83) option.

The G81 M3 Touring is not named on these listings, so ask us before ordering for one. The same goes for an LCI (Life Cycle Impulse, BMW's mid-cycle facelift) car: send your build month and we will confirm the part covers it.

The G87 M2 shares the S58 engine, which is why the midpipes come with a chassis option, but its body is its own. Its carbon parts are in the G87 listings.

G80 carbon grille: CSL, ST or V style

All three of our grilles are dry carbon direct replacements for the factory grille. The CSL style grille follows the frameless, open design of the M4 CSL. The ST style grille has a solid carbon centre band with horizontal slats above and below it. The V style grille runs a wide carbon centre bar across both kidneys, with open sections above and below. The ST and V are both finished in gloss.

ST styleSolid carbon centre band, horizontal slats top and bottomNot offered, ask us$565
V styleWide carbon bar across both kidneys, open above and belowNot offered, ask us$565

What ACC means and why it matters

ACC is Active Cruise Control, BMW's name for adaptive cruise: the car holds a set gap to the car in front using a radar sensor behind the grille. If your car has it, the grille needs a sensor mount in the factory position, so order With ACC; otherwise order Without ACC. A radar that is blocked or out of position will usually switch adaptive cruise off with a warning.

To check, look for the following-distance button on the steering wheel, or run your VIN through a decoder that lists factory options and look for Active Cruise Control or Driving Assistant Professional. The ST and V style listings have no ACC version, so if your car has the radar, message us before ordering either.

G8X front lips and dry carbon air ducts

The G8X front lips are one dry carbon listing, $499, with the style picked at order time: CSL, MP, MHC, VT or V style. Compare the side profiles in the photos rather than trusting the letters. MP stays closest to factory, CSL follows the M4 CSL splitter and V reads sharper; the carbon aero styles post explains each name and how to mix them. A CSL lip under a CSL grille is the obvious pairing.

The dry carbon air duct set, $365, swaps the front air duct trims for carbon pieces that follow the MP design, tying a carbon lip into the rest of the bumper.

G80 and G82 side skirts: extension or full replacement

An extension is an add-on blade that fits below the factory skirt, which stays on the car. A full replacement takes the factory skirt's place and clips to the same mounting points. One changes the line under the door; the other changes the skirt itself.

The MHC style side skirts are the extension: a long, flat blade along the sill that steps out toward the rear wheel. The V2 OEM style skirts are the full replacement, in dry carbon and the factory shape.

Between them sit the MP style side skirts, which follow the M Performance design with a raised fin at the rear of each skirt, and the V-ST style side skirts, a full-length sculpted skirt. Both clip to the factory mounting points; the photos show how much factory skirt stays visible.

V2 OEM styleFull replacement, factory shapeNot offered, ask usDry carbon fiber$650
MP styleM Performance design with a raised rear finSedan or coupe/convertibleCarbon fiber$745

Every pair is sold left and right. Keep the skirts in the same family as the lip where you can.

Further up the side, the dry carbon fender vents, $245 a pair, are also a full replacement for the factory vent trims rather than a stick-on cover, so there is no edge to lift.

G80 diffuser options: Euro or J style, trim and canards

Both rear diffusers replace the factory lower rear insert and cost $460 each, so the choice is the look.

The Euro style rear diffuser is one piece with a finned centre section and side sections that frame the quad exhaust tips. The J style rear diffuser is deeper and more sculpted, with stepped fins either side, mesh-backed vents and angular side sections around the tips.

Either diffuser leaves the factory black plastic around it. The dry carbon diffuser surround trim, $500, replaces it: the long strip across the bumper plus separate end and centre pieces. It also works with the factory insert.

Rear canards fit to the corners of the factory rear bumper, sold as a pair. The MP style rear canards, $320, follow the M Performance design. The OEM style rear canards, $385, follow the lines of BMW's own design, so they read as part of the bumper. With the J diffuser, compare photos first: a deep diffuser plus canards is a lot of detail.

Three G80 and G82 carbon builds, priced

Each total is the sum of the prices listed above. Pick sedan or coupe length for the skirts and With or Without ACC for the CSL grille.

BuildPartsTotal
CSL front, quiet rearCSL style grille, CSL style front lip, MHC side skirts, Euro diffuser$2,024
MP lookMP style front lip, dry carbon air ducts, MP side skirts, MP rear canards$1,929
Full carbon detailV style grille, V style front lip, V-ST side skirts, J diffuser, diffuser surround trim, fender vents$2,909

The CSL front lets the open grille and matching lip do the work while the MHC blade and Euro diffuser stay quiet. The MP look keeps the factory grille and adds carbon at the corners, close to a dealer-optioned car. The full carbon detail build sets a sharper V theme up front and matches it with the J diffuser and surround trim. Swap any part and the total moves by the price difference.

Each build mixes parts named Dry Carbon Fiber with parts named Carbon Fiber. The dry vs wet carbon post covers the difference and how to keep both from yellowing.

Before you order, and what to do next

The usual next steps are sound and lights. The G8X midpipe is sold by chassis, so pick M3 / M4 (G80 / G82); the Z-pipe and valved systems sit alongside it, and the midpipe guide compares them. Exhaust parts are sold for off-road and competition use; check local rules and ask your tuner if your setup needs a tune.

For lighting, there are CSL laser style taillights for the M3 sedan, laser style taillights for the M4 coupe and full replacement headlights for both in the Lighting department.

FAQ

Will a G80 M3 carbon grille fit a G82 M4?

Yes. The CSL, ST and V style grilles are each listed for the G80 M3, G82 M4 and G83 M4 Convertible, which share the same front end. If your car has Active Cruise Control, order the CSL grille With ACC, or ask us before ordering the ST or V style.

Do I need the ACC version of the CSL grille?

Only if your car has Active Cruise Control, the adaptive cruise that uses a radar sensor behind the grille. Look for the distance button on the steering wheel or check a VIN decoder for Active Cruise Control or Driving Assistant Professional. If it is there, order With ACC so the sensor mounts where the car expects it.

Do G80 M3 side skirts fit the G82 M4?

The MP, V-ST and MHC skirts fit both, but you choose M3 Sedan (G80) or M4 Coupe / Convertible (G82 / G83) at order time because the sill lengths differ. The V2 OEM style skirts have no option, so tell us your body style before ordering.

Do G80 and G82 carbon parts fit the G87 M2?

No. The G87 M2 shares the engine but has its own bumpers, grille and sills, so its carbon parts are listed separately. Some exhaust parts, such as the midpipes, are sold with an M2 (G87) option instead.

Can I fit the diffuser surround trim with the factory diffuser?

Yes. The surround trim replaces the black plastic around the diffuser, not the diffuser itself, so it works with the factory insert, the Euro style or the J style.
